Candice joined Torstar in 2003 and has since distinguished herself as a lead strategist and innovator, playing a key role in the creation of Torstar Digital. As Director of Strategy and Corporate Development for Torstar Digital she led corporate development, and was instrumental in the foundation of a number of start-up ventures including Livedeal, Performer Media and Olive Canada and most recently, the development of OurFaves.com, bringing this innovative social media property from concept to public launch.

Candice was recently promoted to GM, Toronto.com where she will provide the guidance, leadership and growth direction to cement Toronto.com’s position as Toronto’s number one local entertainment site as well as continue to lead the innovative Ourfaves.com website.

Before joining Torstar Candice spent four years with the Monitor Group, a top tier strategy consulting firm, acting as a consultant to a range of international organizations. Candice graduated with distinction with an HBA from the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business.

Candice has a genuine love for new technology and media and finds keeping up with where the web is heading fun. Candice is also passionate about enjoying the city, reading, movies, traveling to new countries, spending time with her family, friends and husband Corey, learning new things and giving back to the community.
